MAMMOTH CAMPGROUND

Mammoth is the only campground in Yellowstone which is opened year around.  It is situated on a hillside just below Mammoth Hot Springs Village, near Park employee housing, 5 miles inside the northern entrance to the Park.  The campground itself is thinly wooded.  Elk frequent the area. 

Mammoth Campground is open year around.
