Yellowstone Road Updates

Yellowstone is open to automobile traffic from mid-April into early November, with all roads open from June into October. However, the northern section of roads, from Gardiner to Cooke City, Montana, is open year around.

Winter season runs from mid-December to mid-March, during which time Yellowstone is accessible by snowmobiles and snowcoaches.
