Scott Magnuson, Kaleb Perdew, Cody Swarthout, Patrick Hertz, Josh Pullman and Blake Thompson On the first day of our class trip we got up at 6:00 A.M, got in the car and arrived at school. At 7:00 we began packing vehicles but before we left Mr. Casselman locked his keys in his truck. After we got his keys out of his truck we left for our trip to Yellowstone Park. We arrived in Livingston at about 9:30 where we gassed up the vehicles bought some things and then continued on. We then arrived at The Boiling River, swam for about an hour in the water that was either scalding or freezing. We then drove to the upper terraces at Mammoth where we skied about 1.4 miles. Mr. Perdew, the expert skier, was one of the last ones back. Rolling down the hill there was fun while waiting for the last person. We then drove to camp we unloaded the cars and many of us started our quinzhees. We had great tacos for dinner. After dinner we worked on quinzhees, played games and then went to bed. Mr Loomans' Edited version: On the first day of our class trip, we got up at 6:00 A.M. and got in the car to get to school. At 7:00, we began packing vehicles. Cold. Before we left school, Mr. Casselman locked his keys in his truck. After we got his keys, we left school and began our trip to Yellowstone. Cold. We arrived in Livingston at about 9:30. Cold. We got gas, bought worthless empty-calorie type products, and headed south. Upon arriving at the boiling river, we swam in the water which was either freezing or scalding for about an hour. Not cold. Then, we drove to the upper terraces where we skied about 1.4 miles; cold; Mr. Perdew, the expert skier, was one of the last ones back. Rolling down the hill was fun while waiting for the last person. Finally, we were ready to go to the camp in Lamar Valley. We made positive ID on 327 elk and 164 bison. Jim sees them all first, which bothers Chad. We unloaded cars, cold, and many people started Quinzhees. We got a lecture on not molesting wolves. We had great tacos for dinner. We have Mrs. Magnuson and you dont, na na na na na boo boo boo for you. After dinner, we worked on Quinzhees, cold, played games, and went to bed. Jesus loves you and me!!! |
