Today, Bush slept in and didn’t get any breakfast. After the instructor taught us the signs of hypothermia and frostbite, we went to do avalanche and snow pit studies. Since Bush had 3 nasty blisters, he walked instead of skiing. We had fun jumping to create an avalanche. Several of us fell with the snow 20 feet. After lunch, we skied 3 miles on Bannack Trail. Bush and some of the adults went to look for wolves instead. By Thursday night, Blake had really learned a lot about skiing. At 5:30, we left for Cooke City to eat at the Grizzly Pad. We all had hamburgers, fries, and various flavors of shakes. We spent 45 minutes there and then headed for camp. Mr. Loomans is taking his second nap of the day now. We need it more than him. Tonight is the first clear night we have all week, so we can do our constellation class while night skiing. A lot of us don’t know where our constellations are, so they are studying now. Tonight is our last night and 10 of us are setting the 4-night record. We are all excited but sad to have to go home tomorrow.
