Today it was a very early start, especially for Keith McGlothlin.  Ben H used big words saying today we left on our Yellowstone excursion trip.  Most kids did not like the long car ride to Yellowstone.  Gideon hated the very long car ride, but he still had a chance to learn about the other kids in his car.  The museum was interesting but since they were just beginning to acquire their items most everything was still in boxes and everybody had to keep their hands in their pockets as to not touch anything.   After the museum, we went to the Boiling River a little ways from Gardiner.  Brittany Larson says, we went to the Boiling river and I lost one of my shoes in the current (She was devastated at the loss of her poor defenseless shoe). There was a waterfall of hot water but our hair kept freezing, which was neato.  After the boiling river, we went cross-country skiing for the first time.  “It amazed me,” said Danae Lenz, “even though it has been about eleven years since I cross country skied.  I caught on pretty quickly, except for the fact Bob Hulbert and I collided while skiing, it was mostly his fault.”  William cross-country skied for the first time today, and retained all his body parts.   Alston had trouble skiing; he could not steer or stop.  Jamie Elenbaas says, I went skiing and then went sledding down an insanely steep hill with Christina.  It was great.  Christina adds to Jamie’s sledding experience, we went really, fast and Jamie and I had a ton of fun, and on top of that, at the bottom of the hill we squashed Brittany like a pancake.  On the way to camp, cruel Kaiti urged her mother to run over a coyote, but her mother respectfully declined.   When we pulled in to camp, we had a lot of unpacking to do, which is better than going hungry all week!  ..  Most of the kids in our class are on influenza B medication, and others are sick.  Eric thought the museum was cool.  Sam thought cross-country skiing was hard.  Sam did not like the museum.  Jordan thinks this trip will be fun and he liked the boiling river.  Macy did not like looking at the archives.  Macy thinks coyotes are gorgeous.  It was a great day in Gods great creation.
